Robotics startup Generalist AI is in talks to raise a new funding round at a $3 billion valuation
Generalist AI is in discussions to raise a new funding round that would value the robotics AI startup at approximately $3 billion, about 50% higher than its $2 billion valuation from a financing completed one month earlier.
According to the report, venture firm 8VC is expected to lead the round as investor interest in “physical AI” continues to accelerate alongside competitors such as Physical Intelligence, Skild AI, Field AI, and Genesis AI.
Founded by former Google DeepMind and Boston Dynamics researchers, Generalist AI develops foundation models that enable robots to perform tasks across industries rather than manufacturing robots itself.

Intropy Announces $11 Million In Funding To Build The AI-Native Operating System For The Spare Parts Supply Chain
Intropy has raised $11 million in seed funding led by Felix Capital, with participation from Quiet Capital, General Catalyst, and firstminute capital, to expand its AI platform for the spare parts supply chain.
The company, founded in 2024, automates inventory, pricing, and operational decisions for distributors, manufacturers, and recyclers by integrating structured and unstructured data into existing workflows.
Intropy said its platform has processed more than $10 billion in spare parts demand, and the new funding will support product development, hiring in engineering and machine learning, and the opening of a New York office as it expands in the U.S. and Europe.

DeepSeek plans one gigawatt AI data center in Inner Mongolia
Chinese AI startup DeepSeek is planning to build a one-gigawatt AI data center in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, while also leasing additional computing capacity to expand its infrastructure, according to Bloomberg.
The project is intended to strengthen the company’s ability to compete with leading U.S. AI developers, with at least part of the facility expected to come online by the end of 2027 or early 2028.
The report notes that it remains unclear whether the data center will use Nvidia or Huawei chips, as China continues expanding domestic AI computing capacity.

Nexus Data Centers in advanced talks to secure $15B for Google-backed Anthropic data center
Nexus Data Centers is in advanced discussions to secure a $15 billion loan, led by Morgan Stanley, to finance the construction of a large AI data center campus in Hubbard, Texas, for Anthropic.
According to CNBC, Google has agreed to support the financing by backing Anthropic with its investment-grade credit rating, reflecting the companies’ expanding partnership.
The project is part of Anthropic’s broader effort to increase AI computing capacity through major infrastructure agreements with partners including AMD, SpaceX, Google, and Broadcom.
